Characteristics of TA therapy
You don’t have to “have problems”. You can be a well functioning, fulfilled person and enter into therapy simply to get even more of what you want from life.
In Transactional Analysis theory, Eric Berne said that people make "decisions" at an early age, out of awareness, and called this "Script". It a picture we paint of the world – how we as individuals see things. Some of our conflicts in life are as a result of this view. No-one is 100% “script free”. • Open communication - therapist and client speak a common language. Client is encouraged to learn about TA. Therapist may suggest that client attends an introductory course or read a book on TA. Case notes are open for inspection.
